As a young child, I would be afraid of the darkness,

needing a night light, afraid of what I might see.

Sleep paralysis almost every night,

getting taunted by demons.

But who knew

the true monsters were actually in my reality,

saying they love me as they hid their hand behind their back.

I went through inhumane torture.

Who knew a friend request

or a random encounter was premeditated?

They wanted to strike fear in my heart.

They said repeatedly,

“You must be dreaming.”

Hypnosis, faded memories,

a punch to the head.

Did that actually happen?

Then they start gaslighting.

At one point, I would shake uncontrollably.

Where is my sense of safety?

Why do I feel afraid?

My heartbeat grows louder.

And make your mind spiral

Now you losing control

Your mind gets filled with fear and

Worry

You can’t see that your blessings

Are already here

He constantly reminds you what you

Went through

He tries to convince you

That it will happen again

So now you wandering ,questioning

When things gone change

Buts it’s you who needs to change

The way that you think

Heal from the wounds that were never

Seen

Grow and finally spread your wings

Let go of the things you couldn’t

Control

Just be in the present and finally

Act on the things

In your dreams
